That couldn't possibly be his driver's license photo. It looks serious, yes, but it's too pretty. DMV photos always make the subject look hideous--it's a rule of nature.

and in indiana, if he had a current driver's license or other state-issued i.d., he probably could have voted in our primaries on tuesday.

those who could not vote because they lacked such i.d.s included a 98-year-old nun from notre dame and several other sisters.

nobody had documented a problem, but our illustrious legislature "solved" it, the supremes rubber-stamped it and now a right that's supposed to be taken away only if you're convicted of a felony is conditioned on going through the hassle of getting an i.d. it's basically another form of poll tax, since those least likely to have i.d.s are elderly people of color.
