I just thought of this possibility.

Unbeknownst to Sobakawa, Bob has his own manifesto for world domination, and he's getting ready to put the plans into motion.

First, he'll arrest Sobakawa and her minion (Frankie) and then he'll take over as the dominant life form of the world (the world = Laurie's house)

Once he has complete control of all the catnip in the house, and full possesion of THE litter box. Then he will move on to his plan to take over the universe. (universe = Laurie's yard...is Bob an outside cat?)

That look on his face in the picture, is just Bob being caught in an unguarded moment when he's giggling about how wonderful a plan he has, and how he's going to make the Great Sobakawa bow down to him in all his furry glory.

It has been my experience that cats will do that. Now I have dogs.

But he IS winking too....I read somewhere that when a cat slowly closes his eyes while looking at you, he's saying "I love you1" (Maybe the tongue was just sort of hanging out?)

Sometimes my cat just sort-of forgets to put her tongue away when she's done having a bath. Seems like a brand of absentmindedness that Bob might subscribe to as well. But he's absolutely giving you a come hither wink!
