Groovy positive JUUUUU-JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUs are going Evan's way! (cuz y'all know how good we are at sending ooie-ooie new age ju jus from crazy Marin County in Northern Cali).
Also, sending a good old fashioned prayer to God for his speedy recovery. XO

Please pass on my positive thoughts and wishes to Evan and his parents. My post won't go on the board.
Can I also mention 'Hats for Alex'? Something that may appeal to the other readers.
regards,

For those who can't see the blogger site:

Great news! The surgeon just came out and told us they got about 85% of the tumor, which was about 1 x 1 x 1.25 cm. Now it's just 1 x .2 x .2 cm. He thinks Evan has a great chance of being seizure free and he does not foresee needing any further surgery. He said it went great and that Evan has a "happy brain."
Get this - Evan is awake and in recovery, so I'm typing fast as they'll be coming to get us any minute so we can go see him.
Hooray!!!"

I am so glad to read this! I only just discovered your blog a few weeks ago (I am a fellow 30-something knitting obsessed spinster only with 3 cats instead of 4), and spent yesterday and this morning thinking HARD about happy healthy baby brains and happy relieved parents. He has the best tippy toes I've seen on a baby in a long time!!

Thinking of Evan with a tri-toned mohawk, nose ring, and spike coller resting just about his hand-knit sweater...

I'm so happy that Evan will finally have a "happy" brain!!!

I'm still all about those baby toes............

I just read their website and learned all about Evan's condition....I completely get what they are going through right now since my dad had surgery two years ago for a brain tumor....and it was 2 months before my wedding. Talk about timing. Aside from 2 random seizures, Dad has been doing great and it's a blessing to have him around.
Best wishes to the family and here's hoping for a speedy recovery for that little cutie!!! Believe in the doctors, believe in God, and everything will be ok. Hugs all around.

Evan's tumor/surgery and what his parents are going through make my own breast cancer look like a walk in the park. Thanks, Laurie, for helping me keep perspective. You keep yanking me out of my personal pity parties and helping me focus outside of myself, whether it's on your knitting a scarf on a bus or on a sick baby. Have I told you lately that I love you?
