Laurie, Do you have a Crazy Cat Lady Action Figure? Because you need one.
We got the purple Dyson and it is amazing!
Posted by: Liza at December 28, 2006 08:01 AM
How do you tolerate all that cutenss in your house! He's adorable! And what an early post this morning! Are you at work already?
Posted by: Amy at December 28, 2006 08:02 AM
awwwww....
Posted by: Suzi in NC at December 28, 2006 08:04 AM
Amy, indeed.
Next year I'm taking vacation at Christmas-New Year's time. I say that every year... but next year it's going to happen.
Posted by: laurie at December 28, 2006 08:05 AM
Thank you for making me feel normal. I may have more recent photos of my three furry children than of my young adult human offspring.
Posted by: Sally at December 28, 2006 08:08 AM
You should definitely plan on an end of 2007 vacation. This is the first year that I am off between Christmas and New Years and it's very refreshing! I hope that I'll actually be looking forward to going back to the office next week - right now I'm still very much enjoying being on the couch in my pajamas with a cat wedged between my lap top and my breasts! :)
Posted by: Amy at December 28, 2006 08:18 AM
Oh, polka dots are SO his color! And a Crazy Aunt Purl Action Figure? GREAT idea, Liza!!! It should some with four miniature cats, four miniature double sided food/water bowls, and several teeny tiny skeins of cool colored yarn! Look out Barbie, Ken's got his eye on this one!
Posted by: AlliMack at December 28, 2006 08:21 AM
I think I am in love..........
Posted by: Sherri at December 28, 2006 08:24 AM
love, love, love the Roy! hope he is feeling better
Posted by: robinv at December 28, 2006 08:34 AM
Awwwww.
I should be doing what he's doing.
Posted by: kimberlee at December 28, 2006 08:35 AM
PROOF of the connection between cat cuteness and diabetes. I mean, how can a person surrounded by sweetness NOT need insulin injections?
As for the Crazy Cat Lady Action figure that Liza mentioned (and I'm sure she knows this, so this is for those of you that aren't in the loop) this is an actual on-the-shelf product, produced by the same company that makes Beethoven and Librarian Action Figures. I'm serious. So fantastic that when my pet sitter saw mine she begged for several sets for herself.
Just sayin'. I don't own stock in the company or anything.

The Soba may rule with an iron paw, but the cuteness of the Roy can conquer all! (Is she paying him?)
Posted by: Lucia at December 28, 2006 08:36 AM
Awwwwwww.... I know it's been said but... CUTE!
Posted by: RishaMoonshadow at December 28, 2006 08:36 AM
I think he needs a tummy massage too!
Posted by: psychomom at December 28, 2006 08:38 AM
Is it wrong to want to marry Roy? He is so cute and we could cuddle :)
Posted by: Inky at December 28, 2006 08:41 AM
Smoogles for baby Roy.
(If you're at work, who is doing his bidding?)
Posted by: Suzie at December 28, 2006 08:49 AM
Man the life of a cat!!
Posted by: Yvonne at December 28, 2006 09:00 AM
Maybe a lemon slice in the water? Just sayin'. (Besides they scoot across the floor really well and sometimes they blend in and you can watch the silly human trick.)
Posted by: bonnie at December 28, 2006 09:03 AM
He's so stylish. Pamper away....
Posted by: PlazaJen at December 28, 2006 09:07 AM

I love, love, love cats under covers. I am weak from the cuteness.
Posted by: lynn at December 28, 2006 09:31 AM
Sweet Roy! And I love that pillow; hope you don't mind if I make one, because I love it.
I won't look as cute lounging on it as Roy does, though. :)
Posted by: Julie at December 28, 2006 09:51 AM
Typical guy, but soooo much cuter!
Posted by: Jann at December 28, 2006 09:52 AM

Your cats are so cute!I still havent seen my cats in the cat house I bought them, but I did see my 3 y/o in it. How do you get your cats to pose like that? Mine run from the camera!
Posted by: marti at December 28, 2006 10:37 AM
Roy!!! So! Cute!
Is he really under the cover or does it just look like it? Mine won't get under covers.
Posted by: sunflower at December 28, 2006 10:42 AM
All I want to know is does the thread count matter to him? And if so, what is the lowest he will consider?
Too cute
Posted by: bitchwhoblogs at December 28, 2006 10:55 AM
Awwww...now that's the life! We should all be so lucky.
Posted by: Tami at December 28, 2006 10:58 AM
Roy sure knows how to live it up. :D
I wish I was doing that instead of working right now. *sigh*
Of course as I am commenting on your blog right now I guess that means I am not doing well with focusing on work eh. *L*

You need to send Roy in for a feature in Cuteoverload.com. He'd be a smash!
Posted by: Cathie at December 28, 2006 12:08 PM
The Archie McPhee website sells the Crazy Cat Lady action figures:

Posted by: Dagny at December 28, 2006 01:44 PM
I read your blog all the time, but for the life of me could not remember if you posted '6 Weird Things About You". I'm a new blogger and if it's OK - YOU'RE TAGGED!
(Had to do it this way - you'd never find me otherwise :-)
Posted by: Cathie at December 28, 2006 02:26 PM
Definitely needs an agent!
Posted by: Debbie at December 28, 2006 02:45 PM
Roy is so handsome - now go and get him some bacon!!
Posted by: mrspao at December 28, 2006 02:45 PM
Hi Laurie - I've been out of sync, email etc. and so I assume that I missed Roy's diagnosis, tho I guessed it, feline diabetes. My dear Sir Thomi had diabetes. And he and I did the usual injections. Sir Thomi was reluctant at first, but knew that his 'mom knew best'. I do hope that 'Sir Roy' will adjust to whatever his luv-mum administers. And, he is still one of the most handsome, elegant gents I've ever viewed. My departed Thomi would agree, as would my elegent new diva, Sheldon from Sitka (a mere brat at 6+yrs.) Enjoy every day - be happy and compassionate, please? Bye from Audie.

Showed the picture to my GiGi and she now has a crush on Roy. Considering the way she treats her 3 boy-cat housemates, though, I'd advise Roy to go for one of the human admirers instead!
Posted by: Marie at December 28, 2006 04:32 PM
did i miss something? roy has diabetes?
Posted by: smokeyJoe at December 28, 2006 04:39 PM
This is my first visit to your blog and I just wanted to say I enjoyed the read, especially looking at your cats, so cute. I hope 2007 is everything you need it to be.
Posted by: Pink at December 28, 2006 04:44 PM
Awwwwwwww
Posted by: dez at December 28, 2006 05:18 PM
I don't think Roy actually has diabetes, it sounded like Sally was describing the chance of feline sweetness inducing diabetes in their humans. But I could be wrong...
Posted by: Sue F. at December 28, 2006 06:06 PM
Sue F's got it right.
Posted by: Sally, The Fearless Knitter at December 29, 2006 01:20 AM
Can it get any cuter? ;)
Posted by: Dipsy D. at December 29, 2006 02:12 AM
Roy & CO. could easily have their own reality TV show....they already have such a HUGE fan base!
Roy is the essence of catness and cuteness!

Laurie, just de-lurking to tell you that I have been thinking about your not posting for the last week or so - Ha! Happy holidays to you and the cat posse. ALSO, yesterday I found a new CD by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I swear, Grace is your long lost sister! So I had to buy it. It is sort of country, folk, bluesy. A couple of the songs grab you right away, and others I think may grow on me. Okay, Toby (black & white - the "baby" 6 year old cat) just had to jump up here to say hi. I am on vacation this week, and I have not gotten dressed today because...
Posted by: kay t at December 29, 2006 01:41 PM
aw, poor little man. lots of love to Roy, and all the cats in yer household. But especially to Roy.
Posted by: gaile at December 29, 2006 02:00 PM
I'm not sure which I'm more captivated by - the darling, debonair kitty or the fab blanket and throw pillow!
Posted by: L at December 29, 2006 02:15 PM
Hi!
Well, Roy doesn't have diabetes though he is so sweet he could give it to you ;)
I know ya'll followed us through the many months, the saga of "Who Will Diagnose Roy Next?" and all the doctor's visits and so on. He is a million dollar feline!! LOL
Finally we do know what's going on with him. Roy has a "growth" behind his nasal cavity, and it is inoperable, you can see from the picture his little cro-magnun man forehead has grown a bit. It puts pressure on his nose so that is why he gets breathing issues, but for right now it's still somewhat in check and he's fine and doesn't seem to be in pain.
He's such a trooper. My little Roy.
Posted by: laurie at December 29, 2006 02:47 PM
So glad you finally know what's going on with Roy. It's easier to cope and lay out your plan attack when you know what it is you're dealing with.
P.S. Thought I should tell you: Your post months ago about France in your pants has totally stuck in my head all these months. When my friend married a French dude, I said to her "So you've got France in your pants." France in your pants, France in your pants, France in your pants!!
Posted by: L at December 29, 2006 07:22 PM
such a cutie :0)
