France in my pants.
Mmmmmm... everything was covered in cheese. And wine was like water, and beer was like water, and the water was hard to find. We got serenaded by Speedy Gonzales on the metro, we got lost in Pere Lachaise Cemetary, we spoke Franglish, a new California-girl language in which you mix English, broken French and Spanish. Tres jolie!
I could live in Paris forever.

Hello from Laurie, Jennifer, Shannon and Amber.

Me and Jen on the plane. Air France rules!

I love this picture so much.

Amber and I make self-art in the Pompideu.

Me and Jen in a dark Parisian cafe.

Lucky Bear gets a drunken hug.

Le Breakfast.

I'm just saying is all.

Shannon, Jennifer and Amber in front of the Louvre pyramid.

One day, I'll tell you the story behind this picture.
Also: Hi! I want to move to Paris!

On the Champs Elysee at night.

A happy day.

What, no riot pictures? No pictures of striking Air France workers? Good to see you had a fab time, and that you hit all the hot spots, and that the crazy frogs didn't disrupt your "vacances". Now, where are the pictures of the gobs of French yarn you smuggled home?

Did you forget everything once you left here or did you have some moments while on your trip? I'm really glad that you made fabulous new memories in one of your favorite cities.
Posted by: Colleen at March 30, 2006 12:37 PM
Love the gnome, love the movie. Glad you are bck but am surprised you were gone such a short time. My ten-year-old is nagging me to go to Paris. I just may have to give in. I think I will get her some Frnech lessons first.

So jealous I am. SO glad that you had a great time!! Even more glad you are back safe, because I am an illogical worrier like that. Also, incapable of forming actual sentences. That is all.
Posted by: Mandy at March 30, 2006 12:56 PM
Colleen, the anxiety I had about my cats and so on was completely for naught. Roy was a little miffed that I had left him alone, but he's over it now and he spent last night sleeping on my head.
I definitely realized a lot of stuff about myself on this trip ... like I'm a pretty easy traveler, that I'm surprisingly low-maintenance, that I could travel alone and probably be just fine, and that my map-reading skills rock, that I can drink the hell out of some Leffe biere. All good stuff!!

Posted by: Jaimie L at March 30, 2006 02:41 PM
Awww, CAP's back! We missed you! (not like you can tell by the bazillion comments or anything, but hey)
So, Jennifer, right? Of "ham, full, toilet, green, red, and pineapple. Oh, and cake" comment? How's this? "I just ate a ham that was studded with red and green candied cherries and pineapple, followed by a big ol' slab of cake, and now I'm really, really full and have to cisit the toilet." Unfortunately, I don't remember how to say all of that in le Francais of my high school years.
Mizzz Laurie, I have to wonder if you ever received my package. . . the one I sent in Janvier? Of course, now that it's warm and sunny and nearly April, I suppose you won't use it until next winter. . . but that's ok, you went to France! In your pants! Har har.

Urgh. Clearly, I meant "VISIT the toilet," not "cisit". Oh well, that's what I get for typing without proofreading.

The first thing in your pictures, besides the gorgeous architecture,of course, that caught my eye was the BREAKFAST.
I'm sure all the lovely white containers had things in them like heavy cream and such? I think that we need time to test the "French paradox", for, say, a year or two...
Glad you had a fun! Glad you're back!
